As I sit here working on my spring blog, I realize we are already neck-deep into summer and slightly disturbed that we are just six months away from Christmas!
I realize I can’t write enough about the Spring flavors before I must already be planning and promoting the next season’s blends. It’s not enough to be on Facebook or have a website but one must Instagram, Tweet and Tik Tok; not enough to make a post…one must video, use catch words…transitions, trendy sounds, and hashtag it all…We have to cross post, cross promote, cross-market, and try not to get cross-eyed– all while being relevant to multiple cultures, genders and ages but mostly be entertaining or eye-catching …grabbing attention within 10 seconds because that is probably all we have to catch the viewers’ attention before they scroll on….
We have been at this Tea House business for 18 years now and 9 in this location! Yet none of it has really prepared me for the reality of the rapidly changing lives we lead including marketing, cost, competition, the culture, the world, even our constantly changing hometown. Much of how we do business has changed!
But, do you know what doesn’t change? WHY do we do what we do.It is our work to create and offer you ‘moments’…with the highest quality tea and food that we are able to provide in our humble space. We do that with the truest intentions of believing these moments matter in the small, important ways and always believing these ‘moments’ are sacred to those who experience them. The art of ‘tea-ing’ doesn’t change, whether you take part in a Japanese Tea Ceremony or enjoy a couple casual steamy mugs with a friend. The same timeless experience shows up when we sit down to tea here at the tearoom.
So why wait? Let our tea bring the moment you’re in to a place of relevant importance, to pause and relax. Make that moment one you WANT to remember! And, oh yeah, don’t forget to start your Christmas list!
